At Holistic Community Therapy, we take an action-focused approach to mental health, helping clients overcome barriers and build lasting change. Our work is hands-on, practical, and deeply rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the tools and support to fully engage in life.
Evidence shows that actively practicing tasks helps to regain function, not talking about it.
Occupational therapists are skilled at identifying the physical, mental, spiritual, or environmental barriers that get in the way of living your best life. We are also experts at finding creative ways to adapt a difficult task so you can still do it, in spite of those barriers.
Our relationship is about problem-solving to find a way that works best for you and your life routines.
We do it together until you can do it on your own. We may suggest ways to adjust or adapt a task so you can do it on your own – without the help of others.
Holistic Community Therapy (HCT) was founded in 2019 as the realization of Dr. Elizabeth Martin’s years-long vision to create an innovative, inclusive mental health practice. Driven by a commitment to serving those often overlooked in traditional healthcare systems, HCT was built to provide community-based mental health occupational therapy to populations that need it most.
Unlike conventional mental health services, HCT takes a hands-on, action-oriented approach—helping clients engage with their daily lives in ways that promote independence, resilience, and well-being. By addressing mental health through function and participation, our practice enhances not only individual growth but also client engagement in healthcare as a whole. What started as a dream has become a thriving community where mental health care is practical, accessible, and deeply rooted in the lives of those we serve.
Holistic Community Therapy is a community-based, mental health occupational therapy company that provides services to individuals, organizations, and the community at large.
Individual services support clients beyond traditional rehabilitation models and provide longer-term, compensatory support to promote self-care and increased engagement in healthcare systems.
Services are aimed to promote client self-advocacy and -efficacy, mental wellness, chronic disease management, and health system navigation support.
